DJ Steve Porter Creates A Jay-Z #MagnaCarta Mashup

In anticipation of Jay-Z’s new album Magna Carta…Holy Grail , DJ Steve Porter released a new remix featuring some of the most recognizable acapellas and images of the famous wrapper/entrepreneur. Billboard’s writer Zel McCarthy wrote a quick review that captures the genius work behind the mashup:

“What could be more American than Jay-Z boasting about being #alreadyplatinum on the Fourth of July? How about a “Magna Carta Holy Grail” remix by a DJ who hails from one of the thirteen original colonies? Massachusestts’ Steve Porter has compiled a Mayflower’s worth of Shawn Carter acapellas and reworked them as an orginal song (that happens to feature Beyonce).  The result is something even John Hancock would sign off on.”
